Criteria for critical results
- General Policy
- Specific Cases in MSK
* Acute fracture/dislocation
- Septic arthritis
- Necrotizing fasciitis
- Acute infection (Osteomyelitis, Soft tissue abscess)
Process for reporting/calling of critical results
- Try to contact an ordering physician (preferably by phone) if the patient is an outpatient.
- Try to contact an ordering physician or a caring nurse (preferably by phone) if the patient is an inpatient.
