Case 27c DiscussionSoft tissue chondrosarcoma of the flexor hallucis longus tendon sheath. There is a mass surrounding the tendon, but unlike a large fluid collection in the sheath (which could easily be considered considering the signal characteristics), the tendon is not floating centrally within the sheath but placed eccentricly, surrounded by a homogeneous, solid mass.
